See if this discussion doesn't solve your problem: Premiere Pro constantly crashing!

oh okay. Then how about just transcoding the avchd footage to cineform quality 3 for high quality? Also do I really need proxy files if I already have transcoded to cineform? If space is an issue I could buy another 1TB SSD and just split my files across more than one SSD since I generally only work a section of footage at a time when it comes to documentary filmmaking. I don't see why I would need a proxy file from an already transcoded high quality cineform file.
My issue is that regular HDD's externally via USB 3 don't playback well on a laptop but the SSD is fast.
If that won't work what about just in the future recording all my footage nativly in .mp4?

Hi, I'm new to adobe products and am not the best with computers. Please be kind.
My problem began when I created a simple text animation in after effects (Scene Below) and then imported that animation into my premiere pro project.
I was instantly frustrated to find that the transition was not a smooth one and that the screen in premiere pro wouldn't contain the entirety of the text animation, nor the video that was behind the animation.
Now before this occurred, for the last few days and seemingly right out of the blue, I've gotten a message every time I open premiere pro which tells me that my screen resolution is below 1024 x 768 and that I need to increase it.
Now of course I did some googling before coming here and they showed me how to increase the resolution on my laptop. Seemed straightforward enough until I discovered that it looks like my screen resolution is already well above the requisite level.
So now I'm totally stumped on what to do and that is why I'm here. How do I fix all this?
Hi Kevin,
Our IT team managed to solve it. Thanks

Are you up and running with the proxy workflow yet? Please let us know.

I've had adobe premier pro before, and I made a video.
I've stopped my subscription now, but I kinda want my video.
Is there anyway I can save my video without having to pay for the subscription again?
Formatting with exFAT in Mac OS solved the problem. I had no issues reading the card afterwards, Thanks for your help, I think that's the easier and best way to solve the problem. It'd be great to have another way to merge them in premiere, as I can see that being an issue with something else, but I'll gladly take this.
Cineform 3 might be ok, 4 would be good for heavy grading.
You can set the playback to 1/16 and see if you even need a proxy.(probably won't)
Depending on the camera, either avchd or mp4 could have higher quality.
you'd have to test.

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers
Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter
•nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
•ATI Driver Autodetect http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool
There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version
No... Premiere Pro is required to read a Premiere Pro project file
