Yea, I know the feeling. For 4k work I often use 1/4 size Cineform proxies but still, it takes some space. Late projects you just have to get disc space for it all.

One option is to nest the clip, then use a black video after the clip, add the reverb to the nested sequence, and keyframe away.
From Jarle Leirpoll's book.

I've been using Premiere Pro for some time now but suspect I've done something wrong in my initial setup. Most of the transitions and a lot of the imported footage ends up looking quite jerky - almost as if it's replaying at 24fps rather than our PAL 25fps. I want the finished product to be rendered at 1080, 16:9 format. Can anyone tell me what the definitive project settings need to be?
I'm sorry if this question is a tad confusing but I'm not at my workstation right now so can't even tell you what settings I'm actually using. I'm hoping a professional user in NZ can tell me what THEIR settings are so I cam just duplicate them.
Thanks very much.
I'm extremely late to the game, but just in case someone has a related issue and tumbles upon this, as I did...
I had almost the same problem, except the export sidecar (srt) contained just one caption instead of being completely empty. That happened for a view videos and I finally found the reason: the last caption I had added was still selected, even after clicking on an empty space in the timeline.
The workaround is to click on the captions clip (outside of any captions) to select it; that way, no individual caption is still selected. When you later export the video, the full srt file is created correctly.
Hope that helps,
Michael
Hi,
I started all my projects from scratch (again)... so that nothing would be an upgrade... still have massive problems.
Hi Warren,
Thanks for your effort and sharing the ideas. I am new to Adobe family, my questions may seems silly, please dont mind. What you have done is matching my needs to the maximum, but can we get our hand also in the scene. I want to show to the user that as if i am drawing the picture. Is it possible? Please share your thoughts. Thanks in advance.
A lot of the time when I import something to Premiere Pro it just crashes and shuts itself down with no warning at all, then I'll open it back up in Windows 10 and it will immediately freeze...then when I try to close it in task manager it's just sitting there frozen/unresponsive in task manager unable to close. I spend more time opening and closing Premiere Pro then I do actually editing anything in it.
-One fed up Adobe Customer.
MIght want to head over to AE forum and post your question there. Premiere is not the tool.
screw it i moved to Resolve, Thanks for the Support Adobe
Meanwhile you can make your own hold keyframe by duplicating the frame you want to hold and paste it to the point it has to move again.
Make sure all programs are on the latest version, that includes AE.

There is a bug right now, I just logged it -- where multiple channels of 608 closed captioning CC1, CC2, CC3 should all embed into a MOV or MXF as CC1, CC2, CC3 -- but PPRO is dropping CC2
Has this bug been fixed? When I render a video with Quicktime and three different CEA-608 subtitles, only the subtitle of Stream 02 is displayed.
awesome. thx for the workaround. that happened accidently a few times, but I never figured out why xD
But i now use the multi track sequences, where I don't need to "manually" automatically sync the files. if you know what i mean
but an extra option would be nice @adobe
greetz
Yes premiere only
But it is solved now
1- I install cc2017 it is work good
2- install cc2018 again
3- change workspace to fcp7 style
now it work good
thanks to alllll
niel, thats a very clever workaround, thanks :-)

i guess so yea, but doing destructive editing (even while your just adding something) seems a little counter intuitive. i hope that at some point adobe would consider adding a toggle switch, or just making it default that the reverb would trail on after the clip, because i think in 90% of cases thats what the user would be looking for.
default app is set to after effects & all my apps are up to date.
actually in this particular project i have 2 main after effects projects linked to it. the newer project works fine with dynamic link
but its an older project that is doing this.
oh guys, i see whats happening now......
silly me !!
i had rendered and replaced the clips as an xmf to make them play back easier, so had to restore unrendered to get it to work again
sorry about that
I am having a strange issue with my effects previewing in my Program Monitor. When I initially set my project up, I wanted to test out the "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Metal)" and set it to that before editing. Once I was ready to begin color correction, my effects previews were not displaying correctly. The only way for me to see any effects is to render the selected clip. Although I did notice that when using the slider, the effect displayed as long as I had the slider selected and moving. Once I stopped moving it, the preview reverts back to the raw image. I tried to trace my steps backwards and have changed to other playback engines with no success. Same issue on each of them.
Also, anytime I create a new project, I am having the same issue with my effects. So this is not just a localized issue with this singular project. It is effecting my workflow on every project across the board.
