thats after running for hours editing a heavy film project (near completion)
i should add for context, that it was not only this project that crashed, but also one other very small 1 minute edit.
interestingly, today the system has not crashed

Hi Odoug,
Personally, I hide any masks by deselecting the mask within the effect. Just click on the name of the effect. Try that and report back.
Thanks,
Kevin
Hi TPWilkerson,
Are you still experiencing this issue or have you solved it? Please let us know. Personally, I'd try reattaching proxies on the new machine since it has a new filepath. Please try that if you have not already.
Thanks,
Kevin

when applying reverb to a clip, the reverb stops abruptly when the clip stops, this makes the reverb effect fairly useless in a lot of cases i think, and necessitates creating an individual audio track using reverb as an insert in order to get the desired effect.
it would be nice if there was a way to toggle between "end when clip ends" and "keep going after clip ends" for those long reverbs
it would also be nice to be able to do this with delays etc
maybe there is a way but i just didnt find it yet...

Still experiencing this issue. Basically, if my second monitor gets disconnected I have to re-align all my windows for my 2-screen layouts when it comes back online.
My current work-around is to switch to a single window layout before the monitor disconnects, and try to only start up Premiere when my second monitor is connected, but sometimes my computer goes to sleep when I'm AFK and I just need to spend a few minutes resetting things.
I recommend using the included Cineform presets only.
The answer appears to be – No, Premiere cannot read the whole QT file once trim points have been added and saved. I had previously posted a similar question in the Apple forums, under Quicktime. Here is a response from Jon Walker:
Unfortunately, there is no "Unedit" option in QT 7 Pro. If you failed to trim the content to your "in" and "out" points, and save the resulting content as a separate, new file, then playback "in" and "out" points are stored in the original file atoms and used by QT-based apps for playback but ignored by non-QT-based apps [such as VLC] as you've noted. While it may be possible to re-edit the atoms using certain utility apps, it may be easier to copy the file data in the currently edited MOV file container to a new file container using a third-party app like VLC that already ignores "edit" entries.
No I never solved it. I ended up having to recreate the template from scratch myself. Then it exported correctly.
Could you apply some silence at the end of the clip to give it more time to "resolve" the reverb?
I assume you mean "VLC" player. Are you on a PC or Mac? There are ways on either platform to change the default app used when launching a video file. More details would help...thanks!
In Sept of 2016 I subscribed to Adobe CC to edit a major documentary project. That next spring an Adobe update wiped my project drive. (as reported to this thread) I had a back up but still lost XX hours of work (my cost $4K). We were committed to a large film festival that week and we had to show an old back up version. That was a big professional hit for me. Adobe managers in Germany (Patrick J Palmer) and on the west coast (Laura Argilla) called me to say how sorry they were. I soon found they had given me free access to the CC suite. I finished my Documentary editing in the Fall of 2017 and kept access to the CC suite.
Around January Adobe said I needed to re-up my (now free) subscription. This turned out to be a new separate subscription. After a long time on chat with Adobe I got them to cancel both subscriptions and to refund me the two months billed to me. This is only mentioned because it shows customer service is still lacking.
My main reason for posting is I would like to communicate with Patrick or Laura again. They said I should contact them when the documentary is done but my email link is not working now. Thanks, Mark
