Re: Ingesting/creating proxys for multiple aspect ratio+frame rates

I recommend using the included Cineform presets for the aspect ratios that match.  Frame rates won't matter.

For clips with oddball aspect ratios, create Cineform transcodes, rather than proxies, using Adobe Media Encoder.  This obviates the need for a new proxy 'preset'.

Okay thanks. This is certainly an area Premiere needs to improve in.

No one really produces video in 4:3 any more, so my first thought here is operator error.

Do you know what you're doing?  Have you any training in video production?  Or are you just trying to wing it?

My first guess is that PP is using the Intel GPU, not the nVidia.

My experience is very small, I installed Premiere yesterday and feel that it's a great program and spend a lot of time with it. Uploaded video is my first movie, so basically I'm not sure what I did wrong.

What is the intended use for this video?

Re: MTS files out of sync

I solved the problem by importing the .MTS files into iMovie (Apple) where everything is sync. Then I exported the clips as ProRes 422 QuickTimes which I can use now in Premiere.

MediaEncoder and Premiere itself didn't work for the conversion.

Isn't it somehow embarrassing that iMovie outsmarts Premiere?

OK.

I do recommend one get some training in the general subject of video production before using Premiere Pro.  Like driving, welding, scuba diving, or really any other activity, you need to learn how first.

Perhaps you could call me at REMOVED if you really want to do due diligence on customer service and support.

I'm just a user like you.  I don't work for Adobe.

I'll definitely use some of the courses, but I care about publishing the shared video, and I see that you know things, could you advise me what I'm doing wrong?

It is for commercial use.

Figured I should also add my computer specifications:

Intel i9-9900K

RTX 2080 ti

32 GB 3200Mhz ram

z390 MOBO (Aorus Master)

I have the images already edited, I added them as image sequence also. Still same issue!

I generally prefer the "teach a man to fish" approach.

If you want to do this job, learn how.  If you don't want to learn how, pay someone else who has.

Can you advise me from which sources I could learn more? I care about working at home and not going for courses.

OK.

I would recommend setting your sequence to standard specs, either DCI or UHD.  Live with the black bars, or crop the image to fill.

Export to Cineform YUV 10 bit found under the QuickTime Format.

@Stan Jones : GTX driver is always the latest; now 417.35

Jim_Simon I am not sure  the canon RAW files causes issues, but I believe. It is not normal that Premiere loads all raw files after start the program. Usually premiere does this only if you import these files in the beginning.

These files are no camera files. These files are from external recorder "Convergent Design Odyssey 7Q+". With resolve these files work perfect.
