Which is one extra clue that you have a GPU problem. Software encoding uses the CPU only and exclusively, Hardware encoding uses the GPU with some conditions.
Run a test on your GPU, make sure it's fine

Hi again Crhstian. Thx for answering all my question.
OK I didnt know that, I thought hardware encoding only used intel core. I will check that, thx alot.
Can you please post a screen recording of the issue?
I Can't i do not know how to. Have I not explained well enough ?
Can you post a screenshot of the opacity keyframes in the Effect Controls with the playhead in between.
You explained perfectly. I just need to see what is going wrong.
If you are on Mac, you can do so with Quicktime, on windows there is plenty of free software that allows a screen recording. Alternatively, film your screen with your phone and post it.
Solved! My premiere was in Portuguese, and the effect simply didn't appear. I changed it to english and now, for some reason, it's back here.
Werdily looks like some things only work in english...
Thanks any way
Did you by any chance put them on an adjustment layer.
If so that is not going to work. Opacity needs to be done on the clip itself.
One more thing, in case the Match Source (Rewrap) preset does not work, you can just click the Match Source button under the Video tab > Basic Video Settings and then set your Video Codec to match your file.
No, I made sure to put the key frames on the clip and not the ajustment layer
Folks, is there a way to export a file, such as .MXF, for Broadcast purposes and be able to see both the SD and the HD closed captions, meaning, the viewers at home can watch either SD or HD signal and view close captioning?
Thank you
I think the Time remapping is the culprit here.
Instead of adjusting the speed using time remapping, try to right click --> speed duration
OR nest your file after time remapping and apply the opacity keyframes on the nested sequence.
Let me know how it goes
Thank You Christian !!
You were bang on ! Thank you very much
Jack
Thanks Ann Bens,
now it`s working! :-)
Hello
I own Dell XPS 15 notebook with Integrated Intel 630 and Nvidia 1050 Ti video cards.
Premiere CC 2018 worked with Nvidia card, but version 2019 started using only much slower Intel card. Timeline is yellow and CUDA is enabled, but searching the timeline is much slower now. I just spent 5 hours trying to upgrade/downgrade all possible drivers, including Dell's BIOS - with no result. What the reason to own extremely expensive notebook (over USD 2000) without possibility to use it 100%?
Do you have any estimates when this issue can be fixed?
Hello there. I have the same problem, and have been experiencing it since October/November 2018. I found a solution for my particular set-up. Maybe this information will help someone.
I'm using a 13" Surface Book 2, 8th Gen i7 with 16 GB ram and a 512 SSD. The Laptop is equipped with a Nvidia GTX 1050.
I connect my SB2 to an external 21" 1080p monitor and keep all of my assets on an external HDD.
The bug I experience is while using dual screens. When I double click on an empty area in the bin to bring up the import dialog, or when using the import command, the import window opens with file explorer but immediately goes into Not Responding in the Window Header. Then PP freezes.
The thing I noticed is that this happens more often as the file size grows. I make wedding videos and generally have hundreds of clips and a run time of 30-40 minutes.
My solution is to stop using the second monitor. This seems to be the key to getting reliable imports when the above conditions are met. It is a cumbersome work around because I have to remember to unplug the second screen before import, which screws up my custom work-spaces. I've then got to go through the whole process in reverse after the import to get my screens looking like I'm used to.
Here's my big gripe: I've used this workflow on this computer in the past and never had the issue until the update around Oct/Nov 2018. So, since it used to work, and doesn't work the same now, I feel like it is a bug in the software. It doesn't seem to be specific to my hardware, but does seem to be specific to dual screen with large files as far as I can tell from the web.
Cheers,
Rob
Yes and the problem increases after the rotation effect .
OK. Try Steps 2M and 3A below, one at a time. Report back.
Kevin,
I am exporting an .MXF file and am trying to embed the captions; I am selecting 708. While playing the timeline, I can see the closed captions. But when I export the file I cannot see HD captions. Now, if I change the settings to 608, and export again, the file displays the SD captions.
How can I get the HD captions to work?
Thank you,
Daniel
