This is getting interesting: there is no 12.1.3 but 12.1.2
BTW I tried to import psd files made Photoshop CS5 and 12.1.3 rejected them. Is that normal?
Might want to resave them in CC

Hallo.
Hello,
I've developed my three projects and all great, I am enjoying Premiere Pro. However, I was initially quite untidy with the arrangement of my media so I have now developed a new system of where I put my assets and I need to move them to a different disk. I can do that simply enough in Windows/Mac. But is there a way to revise the location of the assets in PP in a project without ruining it all please?
Apologies for the newbie (which I am) question but other than deleting it and dragging it back in again from the new location - which is disruptive to the timeline - I cannot see a way to do this. Maybe I am missing something.
Thank you, Stephen
Yes, I'm now on 12.1.2. Hard to keep track of the iterations especially when the Update button doesn't actually say what you're updating to.
You mean, save the Photoshop files in a CC version? So the more recent versions of Premiere will no longer take psd files from CS5? This is frustrating.
And still no answer to conundrum of unlinkable links. No concern from Adobe about having to re-visit old projects and find all the media in the right place? Isn't that the one of the main criteria of creating updates, that they'll open projects from earlier versions of the application?
I'd kind of feel different if Adobe told me my problem is unique.
Thanks.
When you move assets Premiere loses its links to those assets.
After moving assets and reopening Pr it will ask: where is file ...
You have to relink everything.
Depending on the structure of the project it will relink in one go or things go wrong (for some unknown reason) and you will have to do this manually.
Decide for your self if its worth it or just finish the project as is.
Thanks Ann. I was looking for a way to do this in the media panel but I can't find how to, which, from what you say, is because there isn't a way.
12.1.2 does not show in your screenshot as its already installed. If you just close the other version window it will tell you the number.
Either you screen is too small to accommodate Pr or you need to update the graphics card driver or reinstall Pr.
Might want to start with Resetting preferences and resetting workspace.
I was able to fix it, all i had to do was click the "SUMMARY" tab on that page for it to go up in order to see the rest,
strange but worked
Thx
Preset wont start automatically.
Post feature request:
I still didn't find the solution.. Still laging
even without any video its like a "cycling" lag.. every few second it freeze for 1-2 sec and so on..
all updated.. and yes runing as administrator.
the wierd thing is that it lag every 3 seconde exactly. 3 seconde smooth, 1 sec lag, 3 seconde smooth 1 second lag..
Not only during playback, but all the time (even in the menu, on an empty timeline etc..
Do have it run as administrator?
Latest driver is now 419.19, have you tried that one?
Make sure you do a clean install and reboot computer after every action.
Is your pc up to date: latest windows, bios etc. Is not overclocked?
Thanks mate, perfect ! I had to change all subtitles font
I have the same error, running a maximum of 1 day and all. play does not work . Very much I ask to help Council ( work worth it. Audio driver is the default
Deleting my profile directory stopped the crashing on launch problem but I'm now getting a crash in the app after I open my project when it's parsing the footage (progress bar bottom right). This project was working yesterday and the only thing that's different is I just installed Neat Video 4...
No, that's right, 12.1.2 is the version represented by the Update button even though it doesn't say it. And yes, I've checked the About Premiere info to make sure which is which.
Anyway, my issues are more crucially about updating not just the app but the projects from the previous version(s).
Has anyone heard of this linking issue happening in PPro 13?
