Re: Why do some of my clips fail when rendered?
Re: How can I get rid off this overlay? It just popped up all all my screens !!!!
Hi ralston humble,
Please try these steps to disable this overlay info on the Program/Source monitor.
- Highlight the Program/Source monitor
- Use the Key combination Shift + Ctrl + F11 (if on Windows) or Shift + Cmd + F11 (if on macOS)
- Hit the play button on the Program/Source monitor to refresh previews.

LUT Yields Different (Worse) Results in CC2019 than 2018
So I'm using a pretty basic S-log 3 LUT as a starting point for my color. In 2018 and 2017, it works as I would expect. But in 2019, I'm getting red splotches (observe the red above the chandelier, or on the walls of the room.)
2018
2019
The details:
I'm using 13.0.3 (Build 9) now but I first noticed the problem in 13.0.2.
The footage is x-avc hd mp4 files from a Sony a7s2. I did try intraframe codecs too but they didn't have any effect on this problem.
Running on a
2017 iMac
4.2 GHz Intel Core i7
40GB RAM 2400 MHz DDR4
Radeon Pro 580 8GB
Anyone having a similar problem? Does anyone have a solution for CC2019? Thanks
Re: Fast Color Correction & Lumetri have different white balance outcomes
Hi Neil
Thanks for sharing your process. I use 3 different lenses some with ND filters and colour correcting is always the hardest part, hence why I thought using a White Card would help. I also use the YUV, RGB & Luma scopes to colour correct the video, which I will continue doing.
I generally use the basic corrections tab, but I'll look into the creative tab options. Thanks for sharing

The key-board shorts list is already rather long.
It should be. Everything should be customizable to a keyboard shortcut if the user wishes. Video editing is a repetitive process. This isn't iMovie. There's no excuse for requiring drag and drop.
Re: Premier Pro Saving too many files
Hi alessandrod2213340,
If you want to disable the Auto Save feature in Premiere Pro, you may click on Premiere Pro CC(in the menu bar) > Preferences> Auto Save and uncheck Automatically save projects.
Hope it helps. Let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Sumeet

Re: Premiere Pro Can't open anything anymore
Hi John!
I wonder if it's a permissions issue. I know this article says it's for Illustrator but it works for all Adobe apps.
Preferences folder read-only error | Permissions issue
Check it out! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Red screen after rendering video
Check out your GPU! Maybe it needs an update.

Re: Only part of audio renders
carolinesears I tried pre-rendering my video and audio. I've spoken to support several times. I did a remote support session. They created a new sequence and moved my tracks over. It rendered. Then I redid my extensive audio edits on those tracks (mostly done through the audio track mixer and were therefor not copied over). And the original problem happened again! Now my new sequence doesn't render more than 40 minutes of audio. I have a reproducible problem, I just need to get this video rendered, and I can't seem to get any help. Any advice? (I'm currently on hold for another remote support session, but I don't have much hope in them at this point...)
Re: Only part of audio renders
I wonder if you found a bug for us to fix. Would you be interested in uploading a piece of sample media and your project file to a fileshare service like Dropbox or Google Drive? If you share it with me and I can reproduce this issue, I'll pass it off to an engineer here in the office and see if they can find anything with it.
Let me know!

Hi 7TrainMedia,
Are you getting the same difference if you switch the Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only?
FAQ: How to change the Video Renderer in Premiere Pro?
Let us know. We’re here to help.

Re: Premiere Pro Can't open anything anymore
I called Adobe support and gave them the reins to my computer and they were able to fix the problem.
First, it seems the latest update is plagued with issues, so he backtracked my installation there.
And then he reset the preferences and everything was back.
However, as soon as I started to work with closed captions again, the same thing happened all over again.
Knowing about the preferences trick, I cleared those myself and got everything back again.
I just installed PPRO 2018. I'll do my main work in 2019. But I'll do the captions in 2018.
Premiere always seems to have issues with captions. I've been having problems for years.
I may look into using a separate app for those going forward.
Re: Premiere 13.0.3 won't launch
My PC is this:
Windows 10 v 1803
Threadripper 16 core
64GB RAM
GTX 1080ti Nvidia Driver 419.17
Samsung 960 m.2 Boot Drive
Samsung 960 m.2 Scratch
I simply clicked on the update button within the Adobe CC menu, it replaced 13.0.2
with 13.0.3, which would not open.
I uninstalled 13.0.3 and reinstalled 13.0.2, at least I can continue editing.

Re: Red screen after rendering video
GPU is fully updated. I think the file size is too large. I desperately need this file, is there any workaround to reduce the file size and bitrate to get it to work?
I compressed the 1:40:00 video clip (Video 1) into 720p. There were 9 spans of red screen across this 1:40:00 which totalled to around 15 mins. For example, 3:00 to 5:00 is red screen, then back to normal. I tried compressing the original Video 1 from 2:55 to 5:05 so I could just use this and overlap the original in this timespan if that makes sense. But now media encoder is freezing after the first 7 seconds of compression! This is constantly happening. This didn't happen when I compressed the entire 1:40:00 mins......
This has never happened to me before. I think it's something to do with the file. I can play it in VLC, just can't compress it. I don't mind turning my GPU off or something. I don't care if it's a 10 hour render, I just want someone to please let me know a 1 day workaround to prevent the red screen. I will never record with this quality ever again so I won't suffer with this issue. Just need a temporary workaround.
Re: LUT Yields Different (Worse) Results in CC2019 than 2018
The difference persists. It is not effected by Software Only, CUDA, or Metal.
Re: Footage oscillates between cool and warm tones
I'll get back to you with screenshots.
Re: Footage oscillates between cool and warm tones
I haven't seen the footage outside of Premiere. It's usually not something I can see during normal speed because the shift is gradual.
Re: Footage oscillates between cool and warm tones
The auto white balance sounds like an excellent place to look into this issue, thank you for that insight! I hadn't even thought of that.
Re: Premiere Pro 2019 randomly using all system RAM and crashing?
System Specs:
CPU
Intel Core i5 7600k @3.80GHz
Motherboard
ASUS PRIME H270M PLUS
MEMORY
16 GB DDR4
GPU
AMD RADEON R9 390, 8GB
I will see if it is possible to reproduce the crash with a file size smaller than 10GB - if my theory holds true, I shouldn't be able to. I will also test infinityphotorob'sfont solution and report the results.
