Dull Colors in the Creative Cloud Libraries Panel

Hi gang,

 

I have a practice of creating a library of color swatches for each of my clients. I then add it to my Creative Cloud library and can use it across Illustrator, AE, Premiere etc.

 

I am perplexed, however, by how these swatches show up in Premiere. Not only are they dull and therefore not a reflection of the color but there is also no way to copy the HEX code. So, they are just a tease. The heck? Am I missing something? The swatch colors display fine in any other app.

I made this library in Illustrator in an RGB colorspace.

 

Premiere Pro Version 13.0

Windows 10

Also no difference is made when I adjust the appearance of the UI. Lighter focus buttons etc.

They are dull because they are not active. This is not a bug but by design.

If you want to use colors from Ps you will have to make them into a Graphic. Those will show and can be selected by the eyedropper.

Premiere does not understand dpi. Dpi is for printing. All Premiere understand is height and width in pixels.

If one uses an image best is to make it the same as the sequence or twice the size for panning/zooming.

Thanks for the quick reply Ann.

 

I used to create graphics such as the one you referenced but the swatch cc library is better and more streamlined IMO and works across systems/ users and can be updated etc. So, why exactly do they choose it to be dull like this in Premiere (whereas it does not appear as such anywhere else)? Can you please explain what you mean by "not active"?

Not active: as they do not show the full color in Pr.

They did a few versions back, but Adobe changed that.

I am guessing you have multiple screens?

Not sure if it has something to do with full screen as in ctrl+\

What if you disabled transmit?

Could Auto-save function ONLY IF CHANGES WERE MADE?!?

The idea of Auto-save is great, however, if you've MADE NO CHANGES to your project but leave it running while you get a cup of coffee or walk away for an extended period of time you end up with duplicates of the same file making multiple-auto-saves pointless, and even worse, I somehow accidentally deleted my main scene and didnt notice until the next day, and I had 20 useless auto-saves which had all overwritten my good file before the blunder.

WHY DOES AUTO-SAVE FUNCTION IF THERE ARE NO CHANGES MADE TO THE FILE?!?!?!?! this is frustrating and a waste of time. The software doesnt even let you "save" if you've made no changes to the file, but somehow "autosave" can keep replacing your files without any changes made?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

video card signal stops

hello to all the members of the forum,

very often it is happening that while working on a premiere project, the monitor turns off, or it would be better to say that the video card signal does not reach the monitor or it stops. Did it happen to someone else?

to avoid this problem, I have to remove and reinsert the cable in the displayport of the video card (NVIDIA Quadro P2000). in this way, the signal arrives at the monitor.

Since 2013 updates, this should not happen. What PR version are you running?

 

It is true that Autosave does not always work as expected. But I did several sets of test recently, and in those it performed as designed.

 

However, many of us believe that once you use a good system of saving the project regularly and saving manual backup copies at any significant step (either as "save a copy" or "save as" - and to a different drive), autosave is rarely needed.

 

I am also using the cloud sync, and it can be useful, particularly for a local, multidrive disaster. (Computers can still be zapped by lightning.) But the basic sync saves ONLY the last version saved. Both a manual save or autosave triggers the cloud copy. Of more value is the fact that "save as" and "save a copy" both trigger a cloud save of that new project file. So the manual save a copy or save as are keeping those iterated versions in the cloud, not just on the local computer.

problème de rendu dans première pro

salut,

 

Je débute dans le montage avec première pro cc 2019 donc je suis loin de connaitre toutes les fonctions.

j'ai une vidéo dans mon projet qui fonctionne très bien quand je la regarde dans la panneau de prévisualisation haut à droite. Mais quand j'ouvre la fenêtre de rendu (avec ctrl + M) ma vidéo à des barres vertes et violettes que je n'arrive pas à enlever ( voir photo ci dessous  )

Re: Premiere keeps freezing after any manipulation of file.

I have the same problem and have been struggling with it for weeks. I've rolled back graphics drivers, rolled back and forward Premier installs, cleaned out media cache at every re-install. Now I can barely get anything done without Premier freezing entirely with (Not responding) above the menu bar. Even Task Manager fails to close Premiere. I have to reboot. It is agonising.

 

Seems to lock up everytime I work on titles within Essential Graphics. I'm presently on the current build of Premiere which had been relatively stable on 24 Dec and appallingly unstable on 26 Dec!

 

Any sign of a bug-free update on the near horizon?

Thanks Neil - this sounds interesting. Material is 10bit. I have no effects applied - only panning and reframing.

 

Will try this out later tonight - if I manage to sneak out after our family dinner ;-)
