And what are these searchable metadata fields that I can add them to? can you please be more specific. It would be appreciated.
I would like to know how to add them and what they are.

Each of those clips gets dropped on a separate track
Oh my God, no. That is absolutely the worst way to go about this.
For starters, when doing multicam work, only use cameras that won't shut off until you shut them off. And then don't shut them off, at least not until the interview is over. You want ONE clip per camera, so the camera needs to roll the entire time.
Secondly, make sure you're using the proper method of dealing with those clips. Copy the full card to the hard drive using Windows Explorer (or Finder). Then use the Media Browser to import those clips. This way even when the camera actually creates multiple files for longer clips (called spanning), they will come into PP as one long clip.
Anything text based, really. Tape Name, Comment, Description, Log Note, Shot, Client, etc.
There is not.
Can you provide more details about what it is you're doing, and how you're doing it? Also, add the version of Premiere Pro that you're using.
Why does a perfectly good audio changes to a bad one the minute I place it in my timeline? I've tried in formats mp3 wma wav and the audio sounds good in the prevew but when i place it in the timeline is like it looses its qualiti and sound horrible
how can i fix it?
I'm not seeing this on either Windows 7 or 8.1.
I've seen a couple brief oddities on my Windows 7 machine, but nothing work-stopping or serious. It's been perfect so far on the Windows 8.1 machine.
1. No.
2. Prelude can work, but you will need to transcode the clips, not just rename them.
anyone doing...work that will also go to television, or DVD/Blu-Ray will need to capture at 23.976 or 29.97.
That's not true. Film source material at 24 fps has been going to those three mediums since they were invented.
Have you had issues renaming .mxf files Jim?
How about using the Marker Window?
I am not being vague.
Where?
Have you ever actually taken a look at the Preferences?
Have you ever done a search or taken a look in the Premiere reference pdf file?
( I have given you key words already.)
"Preferences", "video in BG", disabling".,
Its the Purple Icon.
II've tried the marker window, but I can only get one clip to load into it at a time. Is it possible to load multiple clips in it?
if not, is there any workflow to visualize all the best stuff at the same time? The only other thing I can think of is to create all subclips instead of markers.
I Rendered about 20 videos to different formats with AME over the weekend on 10.9.4 and so far, no errors!
Premier pro keeps shutting down right after it opens a project. No error message just shuts down Everytime I open PP it just shuts down right away.

I haven't had such an easy time going from 24.00 to 23.976 for disc authoring. Perhaps I'm using the wrong workflow, but I haven't found solutions that will convert video and audio from 23.976 to 24.00 (or the reverse) simultaneously without introducting artifacts from frame interpolation. To avoid it, I always have to change the audio speed in a separate application and lay it back to the master that is reinterpreted at the new frame rate.
I agree that adding a proper pulldown to go from 23.976 to 29.97i is simple in Premiere, but again, I haven't found a way to simultaneously transfer 24.00 master video and audio to 29.97i in one step without frame interpolation artifacts. What tool do you use that can manage this feat without interpolation?
New download render problem - rendering timeline that never ends... keeps adding to render volume - will never finish...?? anyone else have this? I believe it is associated with the new CC update. Render within a new project - the # of frames increases while the renders increase as well as the number of previews increase as the rendering progresses. (infinite timeline render). cannot get a program/project done. frustrating.

That's a good sign! So just when is 10.9.4 to be released to the non-betas?
