When I attempt to import .MOV files taken on my iPhone XR into Premiere on my Macbook, I receive the error message "Codec missing or unavailable." However, my project file has already successfully imported .MOV files I took on the same phone about 2 weeks ago and they don't give the error message. My Premiere is up to date, leaving me clueless as to why I am experiencing this issue. Has anyone else experienced the issue or know how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Does Premiere Pro have eternal license?
Hello,
I am a little confused so I decided to ask You. Premiere Pro can be bought as a subscription montghly or yearly, but can I buy Pr as a commercial, eternal license? Some online sites offer it (as a BOX woth cd-key).
Thank You in advance
~Luke
Re: Premiere asking to sync fonts every time I open the same project
Hi Eric - As a workaround, can you try activating Bebas Neue v1.4 (deprecated), then deactivating it - leaving only Bebas Neue again. Meantime, please supply me with your project offline if possible for further troubleshooting. Thank you.
SLog-2 Problem
Hello, I've opened an old project to find all my SLOG-2 footage has level changes in imported media (once within Premiere).
When I look at the footage in Finder (I'm on a Mac) I can see the original levels, but in premiere everything as gone wrong.
Consequently all my Lumetri grades are out and I desperately need to render some re-versions for a client.
This is a bug right? Anyone know a work around?
FYI this is in BOTH CC 2018 AND CC 2019.
I've attached a screengrab so you can see the original footage (right) and the footage in Premiere (left).
Very annoyed. Thanks, Ian.
Suggestion to allow multi-camera sequence to automatically apply color labels set in the source tracks that make up the multi-camera.
It was suggested that I put this in again, not as a question, but suggestion to consider. The suggestion is to allow multi-camera sequence to automatically apply color labels set in the source tracks that make up the multi-camera as a cut is made in a multi-camera sequence. In the image attached you can see the individual cameras source sequence, and one separate audio in the top section. Below that, you can see the multi-camera sequence which is mostly green. I had to add labels to both sections manually. What I was hoping for was that the change I made to the area where you can see the source video and audio files on the timeline, would automatically appear in the multi-camera sequence after I selected the cut. The way it would work is when I made a cut in the multi-cam sequence, it would know that I chose camera 1, and automatically could mark that one cut with the color I had added to the source video. Currently, each cut in the multi-camera sequence stays green by default, unless I go in and manually label them. I have shortcut keys to speed up that process, but I'd prefer not to have to do that. I only need the video to maintain the color, so I could go in and color correct those sections I cut with a similar correction. I can't do a blanket color correction, because the lighting is constantly changing. Thanks for your consideration. ~ Steve
Re: Timeline information disappears when I save in Premiere Pro
I too have the missing sequence, every single freaking time Premiere crashes (which is frequently). I have attempted double clicking the files in the project library, but it just gives me an 'edit offline file' dialogue box. Absolutely ridiculous that the most work intensive component of the project just disappears despite being "saved".

Do you have a UserVoice posting to link to so we could vote for it?

Re: SLog-2 Problem
"Old project" ... as in from what version, and have you changed hardware since?
I would note, never check you media in QuickTime player ... it's color-stupid, pays no attention to color flags/tags in video file headers.
So ... you cannot possibly say that QuickTime shows you the "real" file ... it hasn't a clue.
What does that look like in say VLC or PotPlayer players?
And naturally ... what's your monitor, how's it profiled and calibrated ... ?

Re: Does Premiere Pro have eternal license?
Only a CS6 version ... none of the CC versions can be bought in "perpetual license".
So if someone is offering a license for a more recent version, it's pirated.

Re: Premiere Pro is SLOW, Export times have TRIPLED!
Re: Colors change (become less vibrant) when exporting
What's your hardware ... and ... are you running a monitor set to video sRGB and calibrated with a puck/software system for Rec.709?
How are you determining you're losing quality? If you check the re-import into project box when exporting, does it show the same as the original?

Premiere crashes in Tutorial Project
Premiere started crashing recently. Last video I did 2 months ago in PP 2018 had numerous effects, color grading, masks, speed ramping, sound was scrubbed in Audition and text edited in After Effects. All worked fine with no issues whatsoever.
Fastforward to now, I can’t put two simple clips together on a timeline without having a glitch. Its glitchy when playing back, at times it won’t playback at all, at times it crashes altogether. I uninstalled 2019 and reinstalled 2018. Reset preferences. Same thing. Just to see if maybe the problem is the clip itself I launched the Premiere Pro Tutorial Project and it crashed after 1 minute. See pictures attached.
There is no way I could do one video with heavy editing 2 months ago and can’t put three clips together now in their own Tutorial Project.
HELP!
Re: Why can't I get graphic shape appearance to behave?
I'm trying to keyframe the colour of a shape in Adobe premiere Pro CC 2019.
I have created a shape using motion graphics, now I want the shape to change colour over time.
I have tried keyframing appearance, but when I change the fill of the shape, it just switches from one colour to the other once it reaches the keyframe instead of slowly transitioning as I would expect it to.
How do I have the shape start at one colour, slowly transition to another colour, and then change back again.
Re: Stereoscopic Workflows?
Hi Ben,
You can fib and set your sequence VR settings to be Equirectangular, Stereoscopic, and choose a horizontal field of view of 180 and then apply and use the VR Projection effect's disparity adjustment parameter. When you go to export, the exporter is going to notice that you enabled VR and it will add the metadata to your MP4/MOV exports, by default. You will want to scroll down to the VR section in the exporter and turn off "Video is VR". This is a giant hack, of course. as you noted, stereoscopic is really meant to be part of immersive workflows.

Import Videos from Lightroom CC or where to keep videos?
So i was sold on the full creative cloud solution and yes i love to start editing on lightroom mac and finish on my ios in traffic HOWEVER it pretty much ends there.
As i professional tool i am running up against so many challenges suggesting its not ready for primetime. So adobe recommende LRCC as the future and to essential give up on classic, especially if like me you were not previously a classic user . So I am all in Adobe creative cloud all the way!
All my pics and videos are saved in Lightroom CC
I welcome advice on the correct workflow given all my vids and pics are in Lightroom CC and i need to import selectrions in Premiere pro projects ( without the flawed process of exporting to my local drive, and then reimporting to Premiere pro). Have a i missed the way to do this. Should i be saving my masters elsewhere for access?
Thanks

Hi Neil,
Yes, sorry. I haven't done this before. Re: All Premiere Pro project files have disappeared from everywhere!
Have you gotten any answers?? I teach A/V and it’s happening to my students too!!
Re: Why can't I get graphic shape appearance to behave?
There does indeed seem to be some weirdness in the current fill keyframes.
Here is a quick workaround:
Make you shape and fill it with one of your color choices.
Once you have it, then go to the Effects Panel > Video Effects > Color Correction > Color Balance (HLS) and apply the HLS effect to your graphic.
Select the graphic on you timeline, then go to the Effect Controls Panel and use the HLS effect to modify the color of the shape over time (apply keyframes there).

PP CC2017 not exporting entire sequence
Hi all
I have been having a problem with PP CC 2017 (and previous versions) for a while now.
When I export long clips (between 1 and 1.5 hours long), the final clip just stops, almost as if I have placed my out point in the middle of the edit.
The export itself finishes, but the clip is unfinished, if that makes any sense.
I have checked, and my in & out points are in the right place. I have also tried the "export entire sequence" option, but I get the same result.
Export settings are:
H.264
HD 1080p
I am exporting from a 2014 MacBook Pro 1 GHz i7 with 8 GB RAM, as well as a MacBook Pro 2016 2.9 GHz with 8 GB RAM, both with the same results
This error does not occur when exporting shorter clips.
It's starting to get super frustrating, and I have not seen this problem on any other forums (perhaps I am not searching correctly).
Re: Premiere blew my macbook pro speakers
I've also had the same problem. I was editing files, a very simple video, doing a sound effects pass and it blew out my speakers and now nothing sounds good. Boooooooo!
