Open CC app and find Premiere Pro:

Click "Manage" and then "Other Versions":

Choose CC 13.0 and click Install

Yes thanks- I needed to just get my head around how proxies work and how Premiere thinks with regard to them and I've got it now! Cheers.

Can we use machine learning to improve video resolution in Premiere yet?

$

Hey everyone,

My specific case is that I'm making an interview montage. The supplied video files were filmed at a pretty wide angle, showing the whole person. I just need to get them from the bust up, which means I'm doing some serious cropping. The result, as you guessed, is a somewhat pixelated face.

I want to enhance my video clip: I want to increase the resolution, make the image sharper. I know the people at letsenhance.io are doing it with still images, so I'm sure it can be done with video.

Technically feasible as it may be, I can't seem to find any documentation of this feature and I was wondering if it's just hiding in plain sight or if we're still waiting for implementation. Or maybe there's a plugin. I'd like to do this in Premiere, but I'm open to the idea of using different software as well.

Who can tell me if this can be done, and if yes, how? Thanks a bunch.

Kind regards,

Koen

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.  I have found that because I am using Windows 7

Professional, Premiere Pro does not behave as most instructions indicate

about the software.  This was one of them. I was able to find the usual

"work around" thanks to your suggestion, by adding some steps to the

procedure.

I got it to work and I thank you for your help.

Be well,

Yes, I've updated.

Thankfully, Wes Howell is now working with me directly to help diagnose the problem.

I do have a small update that I will also message him directly about. This problem happens on my laptop when I have it setup with multiple monitors and, just discovered yesterday, when I'm using it by itself with no other monitors attached. That means exporting video via HDMI, display port or vga isn't the cause.

Adobe Premier Crashes NO MATTER WHAT I do with NO REPORT

HELP PLEASE!

Premier KEEPS crashing after about 20-30 minutes of use, this is what I've tried and every single time it crashes:

  • Rebooted PC
  • Reinstalled Premier
  • Reinstalled Adobe CC
  • Updated every driver (Through Driver Easy PRO)
  • Fresh Windows reinstall with up to date drivers
  • Running Premier on integrated graphics only
  • Running Premier on Graphics card
  • Installing Premier on SSD
  • Installing Premier on HDD
  • Editing a different sequence
  • Editing a different project
  • Running on laptop screen only
  • Running on monitor Only
  • Running on both screens as extended display.

My PC is an ASUS ROG GL553VD with the latest updates to Windows 10 and Premier CC 2019:

  • Core i5-7300HQ @ 2.5GHz
  • GTX 1050 GDDR5 @ 4GB (128 bit)
  • 8GB RAM
  • 128GB SSD with OS installed
  • 1TB HDD

The specs have never been an issue, it's always been able to run Premier until about a week ago. There's no crash reports, no warnings, no stuttering in Premier. It Just crashes. It has only crashed to a blue screen twice. once the stop code was VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL and the other time it was VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE.

Games on Steam run fine with no crashes, I don;t normally game but installed Steam to see if it was a global graphics issue.

So when the company I work for asks why my projects are late, I can just point them to this thread?

Video footage affected by filters

so recently I've been getting strange filters on my video files on premiere pro cc, I don't why it is doing that nor do I remember playing with any settings or adding anything. Is there anyway to remove this so I can get the original footage when editing or somehow completely reset the settings of premiere?

Do these forums ever actually lead to solutions?

Is Adobe support even able to fix stuff like this?

I'm so frustrated

Re: Can't change opacity for text color of open captions

Hi Stan,

Thanks so much for the advice, changing opacity in the effects panel fixed it!

btw. Changing the color and thus 'faking' opacity change doesn't work for me in this particular project, as I needed actual opacity change in order to have the video shine through.

Either way, once again: thanks! ^_^

Thank you Vidya for the information. This morning there was an update for Premiere Pro which I installed and I reseted preferences in Premiere Pro. Now it’s working perfectly well.

Thanks!

I second the notion that he should send the entire contents of the SD card.  Things can go weird if you don't have that.

My first thought is to convert the animated GIF's to a more suitable format for editing.

Re: Premiere 2019 HDR monitoring

I think a proper I/O device like the AJA Kona or Blackmagic Intensity would be better than a Quadro.

Though I've heard it said that Transmit is limited to Rec.709, which means Premiere Pro just isn't suitable for any kind of proper UHD work, which uses the Rec.2020 standard, both with and without HDR.
