Re: CC Update Causes Font Bug

As listed the font issues were part of the many bug fixes of 12.1.2. As you can keep any 2017 (11.x) build a installed with a 2018 (12.x) also installed, and can re-install any 12.x from the CC app... test it yourself.

Either create a new project in 12.1.2 and test fonts, or create a COPY of a current project and open and test the copy.

If it's a 2017 project, copy the project then import the assets of the copy from PrPro's Media browser.

Error Compiling Movie- Error Code 1610153856

I am trying to export a rough cut of a short 3 min video I made for a client. I have been working from this same timeline for a while an exported a rough cut just fine yesterday. Today, I made a few changes to some fonts and moved around some clips per the clients request and then went to export another rough cut and I keep getting an error notice. I can't figure out what's going on or how to fix it. Please help! I have attached photos of my screen and the error message its giving me.

So globally no one could use dip-to-white and dip-to-black transitions for 4 months using that version of PR.

Consolidate and Transcode from specific source

Hi there,

during the production of a long project, the footage has been filled up to 5 hard drives. "Old" material gets rarely used but in some cases it's a hassle to search your old drive and mount it next to 3-4 different hard drives.

I know I can manually copy/paste the material but that's not very efficient.

Can I consolidate and transcode (or collect and copy from the project manager) the footage of my old (archive) drive to my new project folder on my current drive. In that case I don't have to mount my old drive for only a few clips.

Any tips & tricks are welcome!

Thanks in advance

I'm having the same issue, haven't found a solution yet (:

Oh no, Ive been using CC for a while now and it is the first time I come across this problem. My video is about 5 minutes long but when I export it it cuts off the last minute or so. It just stops but I have not done everything different in the export settings. The last bit just of it consists of an inserted MP4 clip and inserted "black video" wwith text on with my my companies disclaimer.

Can someone help me please? I insert screenshots. Bit marked on the right are the 2 clips refusing to export.

Re: DNxHR in MOV shows as red frame

You're right. It should work, and there's other issues too. My Nikon shoots to SD card to a mov wrapper ( h264) for video. I use an Atomos recorder to get stuff out from HDMI to DNxHD ( in MOV wrapper). Could use Pro Res also in MOV wrapper. There's lots of stuff other cameras shoot in MOV wrapper. So having QuickTime on a PC for the mov wrapper is not a bad idea. It just isn't (and hasn't been for a long time) supported by Apple for PC anymore.

Some people HATE quicktime for viewing stuff because it's not good as an accurate viewing thing. Other viewers will let you see video in a MOV wrapper on a PC.  But having ability to handle MOV files is nice to have, like in my case.

With regard your files showing red frames, there's reason for that and it probably has to do with your SYSTEM not the mov wrapper. Unless there's a bug in your program I don't know about, it's your system.  At least that's the most reasonable assumption without knowing anything about your system etc.

I thought your main thrust was to make a DVD. So that's one thing you can do if you adjust your workflow. Otherwise, forget about the DVD for a while, and instead tell people about your system specs, source file dimensions and specs, and try to fix the red frame thing first.

CC 12 - 12.1.2 BUG: No sound on project open, playback or export

The "no sound" bug on project open, playback & export reported in CC 12.0 has not been addressed as reported here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/fixed-issues.html

Not even close! The problem became even worse on both Windows and Mac.

I've tried deleting my settings again and dumping my media caches.

Something which I'm not happy doing every time you post an update.

However the issue is still here.

I'm not going to give you any more chances on this. My day is becoming more and more  difficult every single day, using your software.

I have never felt more dump in my life for being a paying customer of yours.

Adobe have no excuse for the mess it made to the Premiere. Sorry I but I just can't put the word "PRO" along with it.

It's now clear that Adobe has no indention to keep up with competition on it's NLE software. I wouldn't even be amazed if Adobe decide to stop developing it.

Sorry Adobe, I'm a PRO user that waited forever for a patch that will solve the nightmares, but I decided to stop waiting and move along.

Make sure the format of the audio matches.

If the one is 44.1 kHz and the other 48kHz then it won't match

All my renders come out black & white in Media Encoder

I upgraded to the latest Premiere and Media Encoder just yesterday and since then all my renders come out black & white. When I render from Premiere Pro its all wonderful colors, but when I try to render the same project/sequence in Media Encoder it turns black & white! I have tried searching for settings, if I accidentally chose black & white somewhere, but I have not found anything. It worked beautifully before I upgraded. Even if I try to edit the render settings in Media Encoder, its still black & white. Anybody seen this before? Have I done something I dont know of?

Export settings from Media Encoder.

Re: Premiere Pro CC (2017) crashes at export

Export kept crashing at around 34% - 35% tried creating new sequences etc. The error message gave me a rough timecode where there was an issue in the error report. Exported that section and it was indeed the bit that was crashing. Re-imported & replaced those clips and now export seems to work.

As workaround I opened the video in After Effects, rendered it there, went to Premiere and replaced footage. Takes some time but fixes the issue:)
