Thank you for the response. The footage is 95% 1080p so I don't think the issue are the 4K clips. The program crashes regardless of the resolution. The crashes usually occur while scrubbing in the source window. The codec is AVC_intro Class100 1080 (timeline matches this).
I've just started this project, so I have only been pulling selects from the source window down to the timeline. No crazy editing and no effects.
The problem I am facing is that 3 months ago I was editing a very large FS7 project natively (same specs) without any issues and now I can't even get through scrubbing without premiere crashing to desktop.

I use a plug-in(New Blue Titler Pro), it is simple and quick to use there.
I expect other third party plug-ins have it too, you can also do it in Ae.

Timeline looks horrible
Why can't the timeline in Premiere just look like FCP... I spend so much time re-sizing and adjusting widths and zooming and scrolling. How can any editor work like this??! Is there a way to just change the display to show some or all of the timeline in a fashion that I can actually just edit in the timeline without having to adjust something every 3 seconds? Even the zoom to sequence cant display both the entire video and audio without cropping off tracks at the top and bottom.

And if it's GoPro footage it's even worse. Go Pro 1440 color corrected and stabilized knocks to it's knees my 5960 I-7, 8 core, two video card, ten fast HDdrive, SSD C/D, 64GB RAM system to the point I quit trying to work with it.

Also make sure you can upgrade any system you buy- memory, drive bays, video card slots. How big is the PS? I'd be careful about mini towers, make sure you can add physically more gear and the PS and mother board will support it. I wouldn't edit without at least 5 drives, 8 is better. if you are limited to four you are stuck. How about USB 3 ports? You need that for external drives. How are you going to back up?

Re: Adobe Premiere Pro CC keeps crashing
The only way around all these problems, whilst maintaining your relationship with Adobe (however you define that) is to step back to a much more stable version of Premiere Pro. My friend still uses PP CS6 and has maintained his sanity by doing so. For me it probably means going back to Premiere Pro CC (2012/3?) which I still have on my machine.

I have filed bug reports but have not had time to try phone or chat options. I have frankly been too busy with clients awaiting projects to stop and walk through a lot of steps. I have tried everything I've seen posted so far with no luck and am staying with 2014 at the moment because of stability.
It's puzzling that so many are having these problems and they cannot be seem to be recreated by staff. I have ran CS 4 and 5 on this machine and am currently running CS6 and 2014 and 2015. 2015 (and the last 2014 update) are the only ones ever with a problem. The others still run perfectly. Something that plays well with all the other versions is not playing well with this one. Red Giant plugins are also hit and miss at times, and sometimes create very odd behavior such as the effect disappearing.
It is also happening on my laptop as well. Besides crashing, I get very sluggish behavior with a 3 camera multicam timeline with an HP 8560w Elitebook: i7 - 20Gig of ram - Quadro 2000m graphics card with 2Gig of ram. Very puzzling behavior with this software.
I Really think it has something to do with the Multicam timelines.
I will attempt a phone contact when time allows. I've been through the search and test phase over the phone before with other software and know how time consuming and tedious it can be.

Is there a Windows alternative to LiveType? I am using Premiere Pro CC 2015
I edit a lot of video and I do not want the stock answer of "use After Effects".
I need and am sure many others would like something that can be used in PP.
Any suggestions?
I am a big fan of Adobe and their many excellent products - but stand alone editing is very important
to my work.

How to make a timeline with different frame rates?
I have different clips with different frame rates. The highest frame rate was filmed at 60i but when I import it to my mac it says its 29.97 fps and the lowest frame rate is 23.976. Is there a way in Permian pro to edit with the different frame rate?

Need assistance: CC 2015 Premiere Pro and After Effects
Have created a multi camera vid which I've edited and synced with timecode and the project is done. Now I am trying to incorporate some After Effects text into a section of the original PP timeline. Scenario: the 2 cameras were fixed in position as to show a wider front shot of me and a tighter zoom on the 2nd cam.
When I 'Replace with After Effects Composition' the edited cuts I created are now altered and no longer match the original cuts.
In addition, when I look at the video in AE, it no longer matches the original time code from PP as to when I'm speaking and I have to manually calculate the difference which is 5;09 which also happens to be the exact amount of time the original PP track is delayed from the start due to a Intro header track running first.
So, how do I lock the original PP edits down so AE doesn't alter the view, and how do I get it to transfer the correct timing from PP to AE

sometime appear speedgrade exe. application error
The computer instruction say that " your RAM can not be a WRITTEN "
and few second...the application turn off suddenly.
What should I do ?
