Re: Color Differences between Lightroom and Premiere Pro

I think I should simplify my description of the problem. Basically, even prior to editing, video clips opened in Photoshop and Lightroom look identical. The same clip opened in Premiere Pro looks different. Victoria Bampton created a screen shot that she thought would be helpful for anyone working on the problem which can be accessed through this link:

I want to solve this problem. Is there a justifyable reason why video should look different across applications (prior to any editing), and if not, what do I need to do to get the video to look the same. My reason for wanting it to look the same is because I would like to be able to use some of the unique features of all 3 programs to do color adjustment on video clips. Yes, I am aware that Premiere Pro offers its own tools for making color adjustments, but when work on photographs I often jump between programs simply because I am comfortable with certain features, and I would like to be able to do the same with video clips. Of course, I cannot do this if the colors in the video clips are not the same to begin with; I'll never know what I am getting. You mentioned in your first post that you do not have this problem, so it seems like I should be able to expect that my video clips will look the same in all three programs. I am using Windows 7 on a Sony Vaio computer. I am using Photoshop CS6 Extended, Lightroom 4 and Premiere Pro CS6. My guess is that the solution is something pretty simple. Why would video clips all look the same on your computer but different on mine when we are both using the same versions of the software. Any help would be appreciated.
