The logic of a transition is that it needs handles ( ie extra frames) so it can buiild the transition with them.
If your other app did this automatically ..it must have used a freeze frame of the last frame and built the transition as a static.
Is that what you are wanting to do?
Its easy to do but a different technique is involved.
