Context is Slideshow with static clips:
I use motion effects position and scale by setting keypoints and sliding them to the beginning and ending edges respectively in the effect controls timeline.
When applying transitions between clips the keypoints are moved away from edges inward in order to accommodate the transition.
Unfortunately this has been the behavior of every version of Premier Pro I have used. I keep hoping it will be addressed and fixed.
I have found on clips that have both motion via keyframes and a transition that it is generally important to move key points back to the edges in order to render a smooth presentation.
Visiting each clip, highlighting, and dragging keypoints back to original position at the edges is time consuming and monotonous.
I have googled and experimented but have not found any way to ease the pain.
Ideally I could lock the keypoints so that applying transitions does not move them.
Alternatively, is there a keyboard shortcut combination or macro which can assist in moving keyframes to left and right edges?
Note: I understand I could apply transitions first then create motion and keyframes in support of motion but that is far from ideal since the transitions obscure what I am a working with at the clip level and I like to be inspired to pick some transition while playing back the presentation with motions in place!
