===========

I have been experimenting with Resolve for several months.  I have the free version.  I am going to use Premiere for Video Editing and Resolve for Color Correction.===========

I'm also confused. Is there a QUESTION in there ??? Like "how to best to this workflow ? "  Or what ??  If you have already decided NOT to use Resolve for color, could you please mark your own last post as THE CORRECT ANSWER, so nobody wastes their time reading this post ??

What you send to resolve depends on what your source material is... I don't get why anyone would go for an avid export or XML and not think about EDL and other choices based on final delivery desire ( web, etc. ).

None of this matters, as you probably don't have color corrected monitor and video monitor, so what you get out of resolve is a crap shoot anyway. I think you are absolutely brilliant ..  stick with what you know and stay with PPro for your whole workflow. Otherwise it's a can of worms. Learn new things, invest more money (monitor, etc. ).

Your other post about what you use to transfer files, is also a puzzle.. Luckily Richard saw the inherent QUESTION between the lines...and offered a new way to do it via CC cloud or whatever it's called. You can mark THAT correct TOO !

Thanks !

good luck !
