Thank you! It is not perfect, but it avoids having to reposition anything, or remember font settings.
This was for an instructional video designed around exact text, so raw text was the first thing added, but the last thing formatted. Anyone else needing to do this, here is what I came up with:
- To avoid confusing yourself, temporarily change the text on your finished title to something like "add text here"
- Make the template from the finished title.
- Revert the change to the finished title.
- Open the raw title you want to inherit the format and copy it's text.
- Paste the text onto notepad, and recopy so it loses its formatting --if you do not do this, your template formatting will get replaced with the old format (this is where the product needs an enhancement IMO. MS word for example, has a formatting flyout for each paste where you can select "formatted" or "plain").
- Apply the saved template.
- Paste the unformatted text back into the title and it will inherit the template's font.
- Repeat for any remaining titles.
I searched for quite a while to find an easier way than the above and found very little on this topic.
