Re: premiere cs4 cutting out random frames or segments automatically

Just put the clip on the timeline, grab the razor tool, and just sort of cut any old which way. When you are done, start using ripple delete and get rid of what you don't want to keep.

 

If the duration of each cut is important, You can create a black video at the desired duration and start dropping copies of the black video on to the timeline to overwrite the existing video. When you are done, go back and ripple delete each black video.

 

Please understand that professional editors would never think to ask for such a feature. Even us hobbyists want to control over their edits.

 

I get what you are asking for, but Premiere Pro has never had that feature, and I seriously doubt you could get enough people to put in a feature request to add the feature. Engineering resources are limited and that feature is just too far out there.
