And how do I talk to a person at Adobe?
I was hoping you carefully read the post just before yours.
Premiere's program monitor overrides any Color profile set by the OS. Period.
No Matter how many calibration you do, it will always be different.
You are so angry and breaking your head over nothing, because the moment your video is viewed on another device/monitor, all your hard work with calibration and nailing the colors right is washed down the drain. It's not your fault, it's not Adobe's fault, even if you color using DaVinci it will not matter because your colors are NEVER going to be seen the way you intend them to be seen. Unless you are editing a high-budget full feature that will be displayed in Theatres, than that's a different story.
That being said, go ahead and import the exported video to Premiere and compare it with the original. IF there is a CONSIDERABLE difference, than come back to us with full details of how you are exporting (Full system specs, storage configuration, PP version, Export settings, etc.) So we can trouble shoot and help you out.
No, they are all unlocked. They are all also toggled blue. I'm not sure about this option, though (why I use it).
I had the same problem with my Pitch Shifter (Obsolete) where I accidentally clicked 'yes' to the prompted to use the new Pitch Shifter effect. That happened a month ago and I didn't find a solution that worked. (This was not my personal computer and I couldn't access or change user preferences and system files.)
Today I revisited the problem, but trying a dumb idea that worked.
1. I used another '(Obsolete)' audio effected on a clip.
2. Selected 'No' when the prompted to use the newer effect came up. (I didn't not check the 'Don't Ask Again' checkbox.)
3. Then tried applying the Pitch Shifter (Obsolete) again.
The obsolete effect was used instead of the newer effect and I was not prompted to use the new one either. I only had to do this once. I closed and reopened Premiere and could use the obsolete effect again without repeating the process above or being prompted.
This project was originally created in an earlier version of Premiere Pro?
As a test, try creating a new project and see if the problem remains.
If the problem remains in the new project you created, try trashing your preferences:

as a feature suggestion
You can do that below.
But Premiere Pro can already apply transitions to a group of selected clips.

and as a feature suggestion, i would be highly intuitive to be able to apply this by simply selecting the two audio clips and hitting "X" on the keyboard to apply it
Select the cut point between the two audio clips and press Shift + D.

I'm not familiar enough with the GoPro to suggest those settings.
For export to YouTube, I recommend choosing the QuickTime Format and the Cineform 10 bit YUV Preset. The files are large, but the results are great.
Yes it was created in an early version (previous update or the one before that, not sure).
I created a new project, but the tracks remained the same - surely that's not right? The problem was still there.
I trashed the preferences, but the problem is still there in the original video.
Have yo gone to the link to download the newest version of the CC Desktop app?
I'm having the same problem. this was a very useful shortcut, but it seems to be missing. Have you found a work around?
Did you do it in the manner described in the Troubleshooting Guide?
I too am suffering from what everyone else is suffering from, where this works, but it is not a permanent fix... Every time I open a text window, I am having to reveal these panels manually.
OK.
Run a test. Choose QuickTime as the Format and Cineform YUV 10 bit as the Preset. Upload that to YouTube, report back.
My thinking is that an editor manually selects a transition, then moves the playhead out of the way, and that transition is no longer selected.
I can see how that get's frustrating. I can see the possibility that Adobe made the change on purpose.
