Hmyeah, but that's not the only problem. Basically all of my preferences are formatted each time I quit premiere pro. Project settings, preferences, custom bins etc...

I have seen this happens randomly for years on Windows as well. I have not seen it happen everytime i close Premiere Pro.

How do you close Premiere Pro? There are several ways to close Premiere Pro and the method i have had most issues with is when i use the keyboard, on Windows Ctrl+Q.

You probably have to relink the proxies. Right-click on the files in your project > Proxy > Attach Proxies...

for those of us mere mortals, whats the difference between constant gain and constant power?

id like to suggest that a more intuitive term for this would be "crossfade"

and as a feature suggestion, i would be highly intuitive to be able to apply this by simply selecting the two audio clips and hitting "X" on the keyboard to apply it

i have seen it in some Audio DAWs and it works well.

    thanks

I go command+Q. But I never had issues previously on my other Macs closing the program like this.

Does it happen if you close Premiere Pro in another way as well?

    Yes

I finally fix this problem. I renamed the folder with H265 media and then I tried to import them again. And this time it worked. Instead of work I have to solve such absurd problems.

It's a lot of fun. Adobe poducts more expensive than ever, being involved in alpha-testing year by year.

    Hi Everyone,

This issue is frustrating me and any help is appreciated.

When I create a colour filled Rectangle in the Essential Graphics panel it appears as one layer.

I then change the blend mode of this rectangle to say multiply so it multiplies onto the clip below it.

Now if I use the Text tool and create a Text layer on this, the text layer automatically becomes blended as per the rectangle. So the text also gets multiplied. I don't want this. The rectangle & the text should be independent of each other. But I can't seem to find the blend mode for them separately. All layers created in a single graphic seem to blend into a single mode under opacity. When individual layers are selected opacity does not have the blend mode option.

To avoid this I even created a separate text Graphic clip on a separate layer in the timeline. this works fine but it becomes difficult to align the rectangle & the Text in context to each other and I have to then position the text approximately by eyeballing it.

I am not a Mac guy so the only thing i can suggest now is to uninstall Premiere Pro and re-install it.

Hopefully someone else chimes in with other suggestions.

  • This is a task best done in After Effects. There are a handful of tools to help you do this like Trapcode Soundkeys, but After Effects has a built-in plug-in called Audio Spectrum. Here is a tutorial showing how that effect works: How to create Reactive Audio Spectrum Waveform Effects in Adobe After Effects (CC 2017 Tutorial) - YouTube

Hola. ¿Podría alguien ayudarme a solucionarlo? Por favor.

  • 01/14/19--07:16: Rename Track Grayed Out
  • Happy New Year (a bit late).

I'm trying to rename my audio tracks in a video I made last year, and I have opened it in the most recent update of Premiere Pro CC 2019. When I right click on the audio tracks (including new one I have just added) "rename" is greyed out.

Can someone please advise me on why this might be and how to fix it?

    Thank you.

    Stephen
