scale doesn't work

$

I tried to scale a layer in my movie with keyframes. A start keyframe at 50, then one at 100, then again one at 50. But this doesn't work. I looked for over an hour to see what I was doing wrong. Then I had the idea to try the same thing with the opacity and with the rotation. They both work just fine. So, then I tried the rotation tool and the scale tool at the same time, with keyframes at exact the same moment, WAUW, it works.. Even the scale tool works! Now I deleted the keyframes of the rotation tool, and bam, the scale doesn't work anymore..
I saw there was an update available, so I did that, in the hope it would work just fine now. But no, the scale tool still doesn't work.. Am I the only one? Or are others having the same problem?

I uploaded a video, so you can see the problem..

Corrupt Auto-Saves (after a certain point)

Hello! I have been working on a new project in Premiere Pro CC 2019 (I have not updated PP since I began the project)

My Specs:

I'm working on a brand new 2017 iMac Pro

- 3.2 GHz Intel Xeon

- 32 GB RAM and Radeon Pro Vega graphics

- Mojave 10.14.2

- my footage is on a 16TB G-Drive.

My project is set to auto-save every 5 minutes, and saves up to 20 copies a day, and I save manually a lot as well. At the end of each day, I save my work, close premiere, copy the project file, paste it to my desktop for backup (the master file is saved on my external hard drive) and then update the date on the filename.

Yesterday, after I did all of that I remembered I needed to check something so I tried to open the project back up but Adobe said "sorry, a serious error has occurred..."  I tried to open up the auto-saves and they all gave me the same error. After a lot of troubleshooting (including trying to open the file up on a different computer), I moved the project file (the corrupt one) to a portable external hard drive, created a new project in Premiere and imported the contents of the old project into the new one - all of the information was in tact, thank god. I worked on the new file for a couple hours today and did the same thing at the end of the day. I tried to open the project back up and the same thing happened! However, this time, i found that the auto-saves prior to a certain point were all working (see image below - green dots mean good and red means it will not open). All I did today was change label colors and clean up some multiclipping, i did not import any new footage. So what could have happened between 2:03 and 2:19 that made the file corrupt?

I also tried chatting with someone at Adobe and they were extremely unhelpful...

If you''re talking about Hardware Encoding/Software Encoding, no. The layer is still there.

Youtube 1080p Full HD

Nothing else is changed beyond the default I get when I first click Export, and I haven't changed my default settings at all.

Dunno, to be honest. I don't think so, but I don't know how to check.

Adobe premiere pro CC lesson files (2018)

Hi, I ordered the premiere pro 2018 release off of amazon. I just purchased premiere pro and got the book to learn basic workflow. Upon downloading the lesson files I noticed the years differ from the application but i figured the program would reformat the files for use in the 2019 updated premiere proCC. The application though says files unrecognized and then just quits the application. Im confused because the 2019 lesson files wont be available until February 15th of this year according to amazon. How can I fix this issue i really want to learn this program? any guidance would be great thanks.

Have you tried: Files> Project Settings> General > Change the renderer and also mess about with the audio section as well.

Had a similar issue where I had no video output and switching from Mercury Playback Engine GPU Accelerated (CUDA) to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only worked for me.

I have one gigabyte rx 550 2gb in that machine:

Fx 6300

8gb ram 16000mhz

Asus M5A78L-M PLUS

When I start the premiere and select Open GL, the program stops and crash in few seconds. When I use software only it works well but slowly... I'm using win 10 pro last version, and I just wanted to undertand why this cards is not even on the list and why in the gigabyte's rx 550 page they said the card would be 15x fast on premiere. THAT IS NOT EVEN RECOGNIZED HOW CAN IT BE 15X FAST????

I see many people on google complaining the same.

Search in project not working correctly

So I know this worked earlier in my project but it seems as it's progressed the function is no longer working. As in I get no results for things I type, or completely non applicable results.  Using the Find tool actually now crashes the program too.

Tips on creating motion graphics & animations like this:

I'm trying to creating a similar video to the one above, but don't want to spend days in AE or Premiere to recreate the animations. I want to create image transitions like Lemmino did, the way they fade in one by one and animate on a perspective plane, plus the text reveals and callouts (see at 0:45).

Can anyone point me in the right direction of pre-existing stock templates or even tutorials to do these fairly quickly? I know my way around AE and Premiere pretty well, but am against the clock to make this video. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

New PC - wrong in/out time on clips

I built a new PC specifically for video editing. When I moved my Project (a fairly complex short film), I thought all was well until I previewed some sections and realized the in and out times of the clips seemed to have been reset to the start of each slip. I've successfully linked all the original media files in their new locations, but the clip in/out points are messed up. Resetting them would be almost like re-editing the entire film. I've tried to also move the Cache files, tho I'm not sure why that should matter. Regardless, it has had not effect.

Any help would be appreciated. And yes, I did search prior discussions but could not find this topic.

Thanks!

Hey, I was wondering if I could get Adobe Premiere pro with paying once. Being an animator looking for quality content without watermarks, this looks great but I don't have the money to pay $20/month. Any help would be outstanding!

iMac powers off unexpectedly while editing with Premiere Pro 2019

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I have been troubleshooting this problem since October and have spent countless hours trying to figure out what is wrong. When I edit with Adobe Premiere, which is 90% of what I use my computer for as a full-time video editor, my computer shuts off unexpectedly with no error message either before or after powering back up. Everything worked great for 9 1/2 months, then the power-offs began. I didn't make any software changes prior to the start of the power-offs because I was editing a feature and the team was all working on the same OS and same version of Premiere.

I am editing on an iMac: Retina 5K, 27 inch, 2017, 4.2 GHz Intel Core i7, 32 GB RAM, Radeon Pro 580 8 GB VRAM, Mac OS Mojave, 10.14.2

I am running Adobe Premiere Pro CC2019, doing pretty simple offline editing on multiple projects. Editing 1080 HD, nothing taxing.

The power offs happen during basic editing functions, play, stop, overwrite, navigating through the sequence with the arrow keys, copy and paste.  It's not happening during render or any specific editing function.

I have worked with Apple Support, three techs on the phone so far, plus the local Apple store took my iMac for a week and ran tests in November. All diagnostics that I have run and that Apple has run show that there are no problems with the iMac. I worked with two Adobe support people. I wish I could say that they were helpful. One had me change some permissions and told me that my computer wouldn't crash anymore. As soon as we got off the phone, it powered off. I called back and the next Adobe tech had me launch Premiere in Safe Mode, which disabled my audio monitoring and made it so I could only see about 25% of the picture in the monitor. She had me make edits (where I couldn't hear or see what I was doing) and said that Adobe was working in Safe Mode, therefore it must be the iMac. That was a pretty disappointing phone call.

The power offs began on OS High Sierra and Premiere Pro 2018. I upgraded both to the newest version in hopes that would solve the problem. It did not.

I've done all the basic troubleshooting for kernel panics: reset the SMC, reset the PRAM, unplugged peripherals, ran Disk Utility, ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. No malware was found, Disk is ok.

I've tried different power sources. I am usually plugged into a UPS, but I also tried plugging directly into a wall outlet, a different surge protector, a different room. It powers off when I'm editing, no matter what.

I erased my iMac, did a clean install of OS Mojave and a clean install of Premiere Pro 2019. I have no other software or files on this iMac. I removed all peripherals and put all the media on the internal drive so I could test it with no peripherals. It still powers off when I edit. Sometimes it will power off within minutes. Sometimes I can edit for an hour or two before it powers off.

I turned off iCloud sync and Adobe Creative Cloud sync to see if syncing was causing the power offs. Creative cloud sync doesn't seem to make a difference. It still powers off whether sync is on or off. I tried editing on the iMac on Thursday so I could Capture Data for the Apple engineers and it crashed 6 times in 90 minutes. I got about 4 edits done in that time.

I have tried a new project with new, never before used media. I've opened older projects that worked before the crashes began. It doesn't seem to matter what media or what project, the power offs persist.

I tried erasing my computer and restoring it with Time Machine to a backup before the crashes began. Still powers off.

My laptop is still working (knock on wood) and that's how I am getting work done right now. The laptop edits the same projects with the same media, no problem.

I am officially out of ideas, but I am definitely open to ideas from any of you good people. Thanks for reading my tale of woe.

Aloha,

Shirley

Did you do a PRAM and SMC reset?

Came across this as well after reinstalling Mojave and Premiere CC. Thinking it's mostly related to the install.

After I Force Quit the plugin I was able to remove from Dock. Rebooted the Mac and launched Premiere. The plugin is NOT re-appearing.

How did you move your project? Did you use Premiere’s Project Manager? (File/project manager?)
