Worked like a charm. Thank you.

how do you stop it from downloading till 100% do you just cancel, or what?

    Hi Yomna,

how do you stop it from downloading till 100% do you just cancel, or what?

This was for the AMD CPU bug. If you have AMD CPUs, you can install the current update from the Creative Cloud application—no need to revert to 9.0.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

I do have the 9.2.0 though. It still doesn't work!

    Hi Yomna,

Do you have the same warning dialog as the original poster (OP) in your Mac crash log?
    (MediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Make/Mac/../../Src/Di rectoryRegistry.cpp-283)

    • If not, please create a new post with full details of your OS, computer (CPU/GPU/RAM/Drives) and the kind of media you're working with. Also, include your Mac crash log, if possible
    • If so, include those details in a new thread in this post.

    Thanks,

    Kevin

If you haven't gotten the solution here it is... at least it was in my case where I am on a windows machine using AMD processors.

The trick is to revert back to the software prior to the update. This can be tricky so please follow the steps to the letter.

    1. Open Creative Cloud Manager and uninstall both Premiere Pro and After Effects.

    2. Install them again only this time pay close attention to the progress bar. It will pause at 85% then jump to 90%. When it reaches 90% cancel the install process.

(You must do this for each of the programs one at a time) The programs will both start now but what you have is the base program without the updates so you'll have to reinstall the previous updates.

*************************!!!DO NOT UPDATE FROM THE CC MANAGER!!!**************************

    3. Go to All Adobe CC 2015 Updates: The Direct Download Links for Windows | ProDesignTools

    4. Once you are there locate the update patches for each of the programs and download the version prior to the newest update.

    5. Unzip the updates to your desktop and run the updates from there.

Everything should be working fine now and lets hope Adobe come up with a fix for this in the next update.  If not and the new update causes the same issue then you will have to go through this process again to get the programs to work. (IN THE MEANTIME DO NOT UPDATE THE PROGRAMS)

I can't find the update patches in Step 4

Go to Go to All Adobe CC 2015 Updates: The Direct Download Links for Windows | ProDesignTools

Scroll down near the bottom of the page and you will see a list of all download patches. Be sure to download and install the patch second to the latest release.

I am having this issue too! It does not even give me an error message. Just will not launch at all. I am running a Geforce GTX 970. Windows 10

Did you upgrade recently? If so, follow the procedure described over.

If you don't get an error message, it might be something else. But the procedure described her is worth a try anyway.

I had the same problem I solved simply bij downloading and excecuting a fix by Microsoft. it will take a few minutes.

    Here it is

Missing msvcp110.dll on Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

Or Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 from Official Microsoft Download Center

I solved this with the method described earlier in this tread: Deinstalled and reinstalled, but stopped the install at 80 percent. That worked, but the result is the latest update didn't install..

What about the solution you suggest - will installing the missing dll make it possible to run the full upgrade?

After the recent update a few days ago I am having the same problems with Premiere and After Effects getting the "Appcrash" error.

Uninstalled, reinstalled, updated graphics card driver. On an AMD system. Installing older version of CC for now. Any help Adobe?

Hi I can't open my Premiere Pro CC 2015, everything else works but when I open the premiere it gives me warning saying "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000001d).Click to close the application." I have already uninstall and reload the program but keeps giving me the same message. If you can please help that would be great.
