Show us with a screenshot what you are doing. The blue line should only disappear while you play

You are in the Encore (end of life DVD authoring app). Here is PR:

Premiere Pro CC

BTW, PR version 13 is CC 2019, not 18. But your 13.0.1 is the latest.

Re: Premiere Pro crashes on 'color' tab with 4 clips or more

After further testing and searching, the problem seems to be some sort of memory leak. Task manager shows an excessive use of 21GB RAM when I've imported 4 small clips to a project. This happens with CC2019 and CC2018, where CC2017 works just fine regardless of the settings used. Is anyone familiar with this problem?

Choice of CPU for video editing with Premiere Pro and Photoshop

Can someone suggest a CPU on a DDR4 forum?

My desktop computer is used for regular home activities as well as amateur photo and video editing. I use Photoshop and Premiere Pro. I don’t play games. I use Windows 10.

The Intel 8th Gen Core i5 8400 was suggested.

Could someone please help me especially with choosing a CPU. It seems as if after Black Friday, there are no more i5 8400 CPU's available at a reasonable price.

Black screen Playback

So this has been an issue on and off and its getting on my nerves. Sometimes when I start a new project and I import a video file usually MP4 from handbreak the video shows in the resources but when I try to edit it or play it the screen stays black and only gives audio. I have tried all sorts of fixes from the web. I have updated ALL of my video drivers and still no luck. I have all windows updates and am using premiere pro 2019. Just not I was in a project it was working I imported a JPG to use as a background before my video starts and for what ever reason now I have no video playback just audio..... WTF is going on with this thing its killing me this is the first time it has ever just stopped working mid project.

The Render In to Out changes to Render Effects in Work Area if the Work Area Bar is toggled on (checked) in the drop down menu in the timeline. To return to Render In to Out, uncheck (toggle off) the Work Area Bar:

Hello Boardfran!

I was also facing the similar issue while Exporting a video file into H.264 (mp4 Full HD) format. The Export used to stop at 2:16.05 duration. Tried a lot of thing same like you did, and nothing worked until I tried this....

I figured out that the issue was in the video file I was using in the timeline. The format of the files which I was editing on timeline were  dot MXF & MOV. I converted that video clip into H.264 (mp4) and then imported it into the timeline. Export was finally done.

I know it's too late to reply on this thread as you posted this issue in January but I also ended up coming here in search of the solution. The thread was marked unanswered. I tried to solve the issue my way. I succeed in doing so. Thus am posting my experience here.

You Just convert the file to other format (I converted into mp4), Import the converted file to the project, replace it with the previous file. It worked for me.

Do let me know if the issue is this method works for you.

"Date created" info is wrong in Premiere

I'm editing a wedding shot on four cameras, operated by 2 videographers, myself and an additional videographer. When I go over the footage in Explorer, the time of my shots is correct. However, Premiere reads the files as if they were shot 57 minutes later. I think it has to do with the fact that all of my cameras were set to winter clock although it was shot at the summer.

I wouldn't be facing any problem having shot the wedding solely, since all of my cameras have this issue but now i'm facing mixed footage from different parts of the wedding with the second videographer.

I'm looking for an option to either change the Date Created info on all of my files, or a sequence that use the date and time created to compile a timeline with all of the files, and the physical gaps that were between every shot.

Have anyone encountered such a problem?

Thank you for the reply.  It turns totally black.  I think I get the picture from the replies here, I should just move to Lumetri.  I arrived at this problem by following an online training course, guess it's outdated!

This used to be on 2018 and older. It was very useful cause everything would be instantly completely unusable but 2019 changed things and now the only option i have is to render everything when i only want to pre-render a single damn part of a clip.

  1. Use the I-key to set an In Point to set the start point.
  2. Then, use the O-key to set an Out Point to set the end point.
  3. To render from the In Point to the Out Point, press Enter on the keyboard or go to Sequence > Render Effects In to Out.

IMHO, this is much more efficient than to use the old relic Work Area Bar.

Exporting GPU rendering error / CUDA to Software Render issues

Hello,, so i've exported this music video a few times already with no problem.  I made a few small edits (nothing crazy) and try to export again and get the "GPU rendering error - Lumitri"  I've tried every trick on the web I could find to get around the "bug"  but nothing helps.. beginning to think my GPU doesn't have enough V-ram...  so I switch from CUDA to software renderer.. it will export the whole project no problem but when I switch to software renderer my footage is all slightly out of position or scale..  I also have an adjustment layer with a cinematic bars at the top and bottom which seem to be way out of position or scale..   Not sure if it's just my adjustment layer that is messing up from renderer switch or if all the footage is now changed in dimensions or something.. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is there anyway to download Premier Pro 2018?

Premier Pro 2019 doesn't seem to support the GoPro Fusion plugin's (and they won't install using either the GoPro installer or the Kolor installer).  I did manage to solve this issue previously by copying the plugins from Premier Pro 2018 to Premier Pro 2019 (but it was buggy as heck).  However my laptop went belly up, I had to replace it with a new one and now only Premier Pro 2019 will download.  I need Premier Pro 2018 in order to work with my GoPro Fusion

Same issue here:

Running a baseline iMac Pro with High Sierra 10.13.6. Didn't have the problem with CC 2018 but after upgrading to CC 2019 anytime I have any dynamic linked comps from AE in Premiere projects rendering is almost impossible. I have to close out of AE completely for Premiere to render at any usable speed.

This really defeats the purpose of Dynamic Linking and was the main reason I switched from FCPX over a year ago. Not to say I will be switching back but c'mon Adobe...really??? This really got past your QC??? Thousands of editors are still using premiere and AE on Mac systems, you guys really need to care more about your customers as a whole.
