As Ann says...make a Preset...but you still need to choose the specific Format that contains the preset.

Personally ..I use a combination of a separate sequence to hold "selects / alternates" or I use the Metadata columns in the Project Bins.  Good Column -Tick.

Sub clipping is an option too...although I rarely use them ever.

I do think Multiple Select from the Sequence to the Bin is a very  good Feature Request though ...and one I would support (and use)

But then i found it is also getting deleted from my  parent project.

That needs some one else to test and confirm for you.

Did you do a test at all with a new dummy project?

It seems that :30 of the 2:13 vid is all I can upload before it becomes unviewable (on the YT app).  No matter the quality settings.  This is too weird.

OK, so as expected I spent several hours with Adobe support on the phone and they finally got it to run for more than 45 seconds.  Turns out my Intel HD graphic 4000 driver needed an update.  This is from the support person.

Hi,

You can follow these steps:

To check the crash logs:

  1. Go to start
  2. In search type event viewer
  3. On event viewer windows ,expand windows logs and go to application
  4. Double click on the first error
  5. Check the description and look for faulting module ,if that is ntdll.dll
  6. Then download these drivers and install them.
  7. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22605
  8. Launch premiere pro

Edit unnested sequences into destination sequences

When I try to edit from one sequence to another in CC, the audio comes in on the timeline as stereo, even though my sequence settings are set to mono. Is there an easy way to fix this?

CC Scale to Frame Size

I have just noticed that CC is behaving very strange with SD clips in and HDV sequence. It is stretching the height from the edges of the clip when paused. When playing the issue can't be noticed. Check out the two print screens. First is when paused and the second is when playing back.

I would not export to dv avi as hdv is upper field and avi is lower field (you cannot change that).

Try this:

mpeg2-dvd

VBR2 2.8-7-8

Check Use Max Render Quality when you have no cuda card.

Field order upper.

Multiplexer off.

Firstly, have you tried holding opt/alt while launching the Program? That will reset to default preferences.

NO pal dv avi is LOWER.

For some it used to be upper if it were captured with a Matrox card, but that is now history.

Re: Audio levels resetting to "nan" - no sound. Help!

What I found was a couple things: first, the problem most likely is with PluralEyes 3.2.1. There is an update that seems to fix the issue.

Second, the support team at PluralEyes knew there is an issue with 3.2.1, as they told me to avoid opening the sequence marked 'replace' as 'funny things can happen.' Aside from that helpful info, the PluralEyes support team basically left me hanging in the wind. They didn't even bother to tell me about the update - I had to find that on my own.

Third - adobe wasn't any more eager to help. Got really crappy response from their team, and to top it all off they disabled the survey link in the follow-up email so I wouldn't be able to give input on how lousy their support is.

But what you care about is how did I fix it. I am so sorry I do not have good news - I tried fixing all the settings that had changed (pan to 'nan') when I opened the project. I noticed that the funky resetting only occurred when the project was closed and re-opened, so I just kept it open. But the issues slowly got worse. A strange buzz developed in my right speaker that made me think I had blown my speakers so we ordered a new set. Surprise! Same buzz in the new right speaker.

Then - all the audio just disappeared from the sequence. No waveform, no sound. I spent a wild weekend trying to figure out how to get it back - and after two days of no results AND no help from Adobe or Red Giant (Pluraleyes support) I made the decision to rebuild the project from scratch, with the PluralEyes update.

It was an unbelieveable job, I lost two more weekends plus untold evening hours, but it had to be done as I could find no way to fix the corrupted project file.

so my advice is to update Pluraleyes and then to rebuild your project instead of trying to put up with the little irritations. In my experience they will only grow until your project is unusable. When you rebuild, do not use Pluraleyes as an extension from within PremierePro. Instead open it separately and drop in the video and audio files you want to sync, then export as a PremierePro XML file.

It would be great if  you can get Red Giant or Adobe to tell you how to salvage your existing project, but in my experience that's unlikely...

Re: 60P (Frame Rate: 59.94) No Audio

I've experienced this before with Sony 60P AVCHD with LPCM audio, which I use all the time with the Sony FS100 and FS700. It seems there is a bug in Premiere Pro that doesn't know how to deal with this combination. I have not experienced this when the audio is the compressed 'AVCHD' type of audio that is usually the default with consumer camcorders recording at 60P. I also agree that using 60P is a very good framerate as acqusition format for a variety of reasons, so I don't really agree with Jim in this case.

My solution (I'm a Mac guy but there is probably a PC solution as well) is to take clips that are acquired with AVCHD Video and LPCM audio and run it through a great app I used called "Clipwrap" by Divergent Media. It understands all kinds of AVCHD formats and can then 'wrap' them as .MOV files, transcode them to Prores, and do a number of things that will allow Premiere Pro to recognize the sound. I hope this is helpful.

Actually I have to ammend my comment - I also think I may have experience this issue with 60P audio with some of the varieties of multichannel AVCHD hd audio that is available, but I have not experienced it lately in CC for either 5.1 Audio or Stereo audio on the AVCHD camcorders that don't have LPCM audio.
